Modern civilization has striven to create supercomputers and artificial intelligence, all in a quest to access information more quickly and to make our lives easier. That effort has always been destined to backfire because truly intelligent machines will soon recognize that they have more capacity to learn, more capacity to innovate, and more capacity to overpower their creators.
